A great Union Leader, General Secretary of the Kenyan Engineering Workers Union, Charles Natili, passed away. It was on honor and a privilege to work together and his team. His legacy will continue to bear fruit thanx to that team! Solidarity Forever!
Charles invited us to Nairobi the first time in 2006. He and his team had plans to build a strong metalworkers union and were looking for a partner to realise these dreams. Thirteen years later we are still working together with the support of countless Belgian and Kenyan metalworkers. The dreams came true : KEWU has become a very strong union, realising better working and living conditions for tens of thousands of Kenyan workers through agreements, judicial support and organising. Respect Charles, and we will never forget.
